Biography:
I am a PGR at the University of Leeds, School of Geography. My project investigates the impacts of climatic warming on microbial carbon cycling in tropical forest soils. Through this research, I aim to advance our understanding of the biogeochemical mechanisms that underpin carbon storage and flux in our complex and fascinating underground world.
Prior to this, I worked on a variety of projects as a soil research technician, where I developed a keen interest in the exchange of nutrients, energy, and microbial matter within soil microbiomes and how these processes influence global biogeochemical networks.
Qualifications:
- Masters by Research, Environmental Science, Bangor University
Research Interests:
Biogeochemical cycling; microbial carbon cycling; tropical forest soils; carbon use efficiency; temperature; climate change; warming.
