Biography
I am a PGR based in the School of Geography at the University of Leeds, working with Dr Scott Watson, Professor Duncan Quincey, and Professor Jonathan Carrivick to better quantify key characteristics of remote Himalayan glacial lakes and improve the modelling of glacier-glacial lake systems.
I previously completed an MSc in Environmental Modelling at UCL after finishing a BSc in Geography at the University of Birmingham. During these degrees I developed my interest in glaciology, with a particular focus on the use of numerical modelling to project future glacier change.
Outside of research I enjoy being outdoors, playing tennis or hiking.
Qualifications

PhD: The future of Himalayan glacial lakes: uncovering subsurface features and instabilities with fieldwork and remote sensing observations
My project aims to better quantify key characteristics of remote glacial lakes (e.g. bathymetry, expansion, temperature) using a range of remote and in-situ data collection techniques, including the use of novel multibeam bathymetry surveys. I will use the data collected throughout the project to improve upon our ability to model interactions occurring between glaciers and their proglacial lakes.
